This licence allows you to fly
all single engine aircraft that are classified as non-high performance
aircraft during daylight hours under Visual Flight Rules. The minimum
training requirements are outlined below and the average student who applies
himself or herself diligently can expect to obtain a license close to these
minimums. To hold a Private Pilot License you must be 17 years of
age and possess a Category 1 or Category 3 Medical Licence.

Meteorology Human Factors
Pilot Decision Making Flight

Minimum 47
hours of flight training consisting of not less than:
A minimum of

hours of dual training;
(a) 3 hours to be acquired
during cross country flight
(b) 5 hours instrument flying
A minimum of 15
hours of solo flight;

during cross country flight

cross country flight of
not less than 150 nautical miles from the point of departure
